‘03 GLS V6
Replaced ‘bad’ battery but next day new one was dead. Alternator tested 0V output at the shop. Fix it myself. Put the front end in service mode.
Pigtail for the alternator is gone, single blue wire hanging down beside the alternator. Well no wonder it was 0V output.
For the love of mankind.... how do you get that stupid electrical connector that connects to the solenoid?
It looks like it has an orange tab of some sort on the top and let me say.... it is not an easy feat.
It appears I have a short in the wiring to the pump. Pump works. Connector at pump on car side shows 0.4 Ohm.
The wiring diagram I have shows the pump motor is connected to the J510 Vehicle electrical system control module.
Show T6ap (green/white) wire. T6ap is "6 pin connector".
A few months ago I did this
but now my amp is dead again. This time power is .4 volts BEFORE the 3 way split mentioned in the link above. The carpet is wet around that cluster...
Could someone with an ATW engine please take a look at the positions of the wires on the coolant temperature sensor and relate them to the following image?
I went to the VW dealership last week and they couldn't figure out which part it was. The connector that snaps onto the oil pressure sender is the part I need. I assuem this connector comes with the wire too.
Can someone help identify this part so I can get a new one ordered? The car is a 1.8T...
My 2003 VW Passat 1.8T automatic is in limp mode so I've checked codes and it shows a P0102. I ran data on the MAF with code reader but it didn't register anything on code reader. I had issues with a bad relay so no power to MAF at one time so I want to rule out lack of current at wire harness...
I assume most of you cover your wires for extra longevity, protection? I replaced my OEM crumbling stuff years ago, and that replacement is now crumbling. No idea where i got it.
I know this seems like a no-brainer, but I can't seem to find 1/4" spark plug wire split loom that is cheap and...
Hi guys, can you help me out. I was replacing my air filter in my 2012 3.6 SE (America version) and noticed the wiring loom below the air box had been cut and a section of the white/grey wire had been cut out? Why would a dealership do this? Was it a recall or bullitin issue?
I had to R and R my instrument cluster and now I am trying to clear the EPC lamp. The code is P1678. ( I also have a P1690 with no CEL) When I go to clear it while car is running it will disappear for a moment, then right back on. Iv'e tried most everything I could do. Any suggestions...
I've been chasing down some annoying issues, I was looking through different wire harnesses to look for wear and tear. And I came across something that I guess I've noticed before but, never paid attention to apparently. Can anyone tell me what this is or might be?
It's coming off the 2nd...
I bought this https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-volkswagen-audi-parts/coil-pack-wiring-harness-conduit-black/06f971824c/
How does this properly install I tried and the wires are too thick. Do I need to cut off the rubber conduit binding all the wires together?
does anyone know if there is any difference in the physical structure of the drive by wire accelerator VS the drive by cable? im doing a custom project and my B5.5 wagon is a drive by wire setup, but I need to go back in time to the drive by cable assembly. does anyone have any info...
I'm pretty much finished retrofitting my auto-dimming mirror and rain sensor to my RHD Passat B5. The only wire left to connect is the reverse signal wire which will deactivate the dimming automatically if I put the car into reverse.
Can someone tell me where the reverse signal wire is on...
I successfully (and easily) replaced my dying 90A with a 120A, thanks to the excellent article with plenty of pics I was denied access to replying to (???). Somewhere I read about not replacing some 50A fuse, which seems counterintuitive. Is it because the original main charging wire not a large...

2012 SEL Brake Pad Replacement
I was rotating tires on our 2012 Passat SEL and I always check the brakes while I have the wheel off. When I look up replacement pads, they have one pad with the sensor wire...
