I checked the pump unplugged with 12 v and it runs fine. Relay 373 in the 13 relay box and its' fuse are fine. Is there a module for the pump somewhere that could be bad? if anyone out there could send me a wiring diagram of the pump and its control would be great.

Hi All, Got a rough idle only on cold starts for about a minute or so and then back to 100% normal. No codes, no CEL. Did some searching, think it could be related to vacuum lines. So planning on replacing all four of them with silicone line. 10 feet should be enough right? Do I need to get...

Hey guys, can anyone identify what this broken component is for me? Its a line going under the coolant reservoir and appears to have something snapped off at one end. My car has had a little trouble idling for a few months now and it throws misfire codes, could this be the cause of that?

Are all of the two-connector ones interchangeable? Some are black-and-white, some are dark gray. Can I substitute generics from AutoZone, or should I use OEM? In the latter case, does anyone have part numbers on these? I am not having much luck with various online searches. I just finished...

So I have done a little bit of work on my daughters car by replacing the transmission control module and replacing all 4 coil packs. When I start the car I can hear it trying to relearn the idle but it drops quickly because of a leak. I have tracked down the culprit hose but do not know the name...

04 GLX V6 Auto I don't have my Bentley books but wondering where the 2 ends connect for one of the small hard plastic vacuum lines and what that lines job is. It is the one that runs over the top rear of the motor and runs the the back (firewall area) of the valve covers. Thank you

Hello, I was replacing my vacuum lines on my 2000 Passat with ATQ V6. There is a hose that goes from the fuel pressure regulator, to a T above the throttle body, then goes to a little box on the vacuum plate, and it has a blue/black check valve. My check valve broke when I tried to remove it, I...

I have seen some older posts addressing this topic but bringing it up so we have some pics for the next generation of PWers. So I got the codes above and knew it wasn’t the SAIP pump itself since I could hear it. Next up, check on the combi valves. I didn’t need to go far - as soon as I...

I found this part online but doesn't seem to match exactly to what I have in my 02 Passat 1.8t. It says it fits 1997-05 Passat. Vacuum Check Valve Breather Hose Assembly There is a 2nd one on Amazon that appears to be identical part but more money. Anyone know if this will work or not? The...

My 06 Passat is leaking oil and I have been putting it off since it is a small leak. Well, I took my Passat in for the airbag recall to the dealer and they said it was the the vacuum pump. For $749 they would be happy to repair it for me. Well, it seemed like a not to difficult repair, so I...

Hello PW'ers, Our 2002 V6 4motion (ATQ) is still going strong with over 180k, yet experiencing a couple of senile pains. Hopefully, anyone can help us out tackling any of these issues: 1) There seems to be a vacuum build up in the fuel tank, particularly after driving on hot days, leading to...

On the passenger side of the engine beside the turbo towards the centre there is a silver coloured metal object that looks like a vacuum pot with a hose coming off the front of it. The hose is about 7 inched long and mine has what looks like a broken right angle plastic fitting in it. I cannot...

So today I started to replace the vacuum lines on the car. Got to the one that goes from the intake manifold and across the front of the engine. Took off the hockey puck PCV valve for access and I still could not find where this vac line ends up. It looks as though it might be accessible by...
