I have a 2003 passat that needs new valve stem seals. I just got quoted 4600.00 to replace them with head still on car. I'm in southern California if anybody knows a shop or is capable. Let me know. Thx Eric D.

I have seen a few write ups about changing the valve seals. I would assume it is easier to do it with the head removed, but I have seen others saying they used compressed air to hold the valves in from dropping. The local machine shop says the 5V are hard to work on because they are so small...

I have a set of 18x8 OZ Racing Vela 2 wheels which I need to find a replacement valve stem for. OZ says they were discontinued and didn't use the same valve in any other wheel. I find it hard to believe there are no valve stems any where I can use. See pics below.
