Hey guys. New to VW and the board. Dumb question, but is the DSG the same unit on all VW's of similar years? Golf, CC, Passat, 4 cyl, V6, etc?

If anyone here has successfully removed the 8mm hex/Allen bolt that holds the turbo coolant hose to the 1.8T block, please post some how-to hints. Can this reasonably be done w/o pulling the turbo, or is biting the bullet and doing that the best approach? Other thoughts? Specialty tool, perhaps...
