    so my car is pretty slammed and after my alignment the rear is still way out of spec(don't remember the number). the shop recommended using a shim kit if i wanted to adjust it, has anybody used one of these? how did it work for you?

    So we have a 2003 Passt 1.8T Wagon. About 110K miles on it and the rear tires keep on cupping. Dealer confirmed that the rear toe is out, but no adjustment possible. We did have a little accident some years ago, so that was the likley root cause. Is there any work-around? Search only found...

    I just took my 98 b5 to get aligned. I thought it would be cheap -- $65 cdn for 4 wheel alignment. They tol d my back wheels were out quite a bit and needed something called "EZ-shim". they said another $85 for it... that means $170 for an alignment! Does that sound right? I just want to...
