  1. Replaced CCM, OBD won't read codes and other oddities

    I bought a 2000 Passat 6-cyl 4Motion a couple of years ago, and the car is now due for emissions inspection. Brought it over there and they can't pull the codes from the OBD port. Gets power, but no data. I can read *something* from the car with my cheapo scanner (RPMs, engine temp, MIL status)...
