  1. RainX windshield wash fluid and fluid level sensor?

    Volkswagen Passat B5 Discussion
Anyone here have any trouble with long term use of the orange Rain-X windshield wash causing your washer fluid light to come on? I did some searching and it seems that this orange Rain-X liquid can leave a residue that coats the sensor. It sounds like hot water flushed through the reservoir is...

  3. Rain-X Wiper Blades

    Volkswagen Passat B5 Discussion
I was getting my oil changed at Jiffy Lube the other day, and the service technician was going over all the VW recommended servicing and I had remembered that my wipers were getting pretty bad and needed to be replaced. Usually, i'd just go to autozone and replace them myself (more often then...
  4. Rain-x wipers?

    Anything Auto
Curious to see if anyone has tried these. I saw them at Target at a good price and was thinking about trying them out. They look like the poor version of the Euro wiper conversion that sells for $100+

  7. Rain-X Latitude wiper blades

    Volkswagen Passat B5 Discussion
At $18.99 each, they're no deal compared to the Bosch Icon blades from AutoZone, but I wondered if anyone had any experience with these on a B5/5.5. Particularly durability, and how they adapt to the VW wiper arm.
  8. Rain-X blows?! or is it me

    Volkswagen Passat B5 Discussion
EDIT: so heres another thought. the Rain-X wiper blades were on sale at meijer. they fit 98% of all cars... blah blah blah. i got em for 6 bucks each but they freaking suck. they dont connect well at all, and while a 21 works (kinda) on the driver side, the 19 doesnt even fit on the passenger...

Does anyone here use it? My dad gave me some to use but I dont know about it, seems too good to be true.
  10. Rain-X and the Passat's Rain Sensors

    Volkswagen Passat B5 Discussion
My brother's GLX has rain-sensing windshield wipers. Has anyone with a GLX used Rain-X on their windshield? If so, does it "confuse" the rain sensor at all?
  11. Anyone using this Rain-X car wash...?

    Volkswagen Passat B5 Discussion
I've been using the Zymol car wash for the last several years, and it seems it may have been discontinued...? I've been to 6 auto parts stores and WalMart and noone has it... there's not even a space for it on the shelf... So i picked up a bottle of the RainX... what's with the yellow balls of...
