Hi Folks, As many of yous know, it is common to find oil in the spark plug wells with these cars. The reasons why I am concerned: Enough oil can hydrolock the engine. Small amounts can put the final nail in your older catalytic converter's coffin (not ideal for new cats either). Foul up your...

So, the title says it all. #5 cylinder was hungry and ingested some or all of the spark plug. Needless to say, the engine runs like cr*p. Borescope shows a pretty beat up piston head. No idea what other damage may exist. Any ideas on value as a donor body?

Howdy, long time lurker, first time poster... 2002 Passat 1.8T, bought at 96K, now has 136K, and still runs strong. Sooooooo, I had some idling issues last week, chugging, and missing, dieing at stoplights. Replaced the PCV Valve from O'reilly. The old one was pretty dirty, but not sure if...

I was planning to change my transmission oil today and got the fill plug off easy, but when it came to the drain plug it was all rusted up and stripped from only a couple of attempts. I already have a new drain plug coming in, so what is my best course of action for getting the old one off? One...

I noticed there are few drops of coolant on the garage floor. The position is corresponding to the coolant drain plug. Does the drain plug have an o-ring? I tightened the drain plug but no luck. Anyone has experienced the same issue and what would be the fix? Thanks.

I assume most of you cover your wires for extra longevity, protection? I replaced my OEM crumbling stuff years ago, and that replacement is now crumbling. No idea where i got it. I know this seems like a no-brainer, but I can't seem to find 1/4" spark plug wire split loom that is cheap and...

Okay noticed today my automatic is leaking. Not from the pan or other seals but seems to be coming from the electrical plug area. I am on the road for work, so can't get a real good look but is there a gasket or seal that could be bad around that plug? Is it under pressure if so, or could I...
