I had a Thor Skid Plate on my B5 wagon, but I didn't transfer it to my B5.5 wagon. The OEM plastic belly pan was taken out by a large chunk of ice. I live in northern Wisconsin, but I make frequent trips to Minneapolis, Madison, and Milwaukee.

I dropped the oil pan to replace pump and pickup, but did not see the windage tray (baffle plate) installed. Not alot of info on it, but this diagram shows it (#16) and also ECS sells it. Does anyone know if this should be there or if it is optional?
