    so i have been looking for a good highend quility HID kit for my 2008 passat..I think I have decided on the philips HID kit. Does anyone use that kit, and if so what do you think of it....I know it costs 239$ but I dont want junk or something made overseas that costs $79.

    I bought these hids thinking I could get them to fit into my hella HID lookalike housings but it would be to much a pain to modify to get it to fit. These are brand new never used. They are just like the oem ballasts and bulbs for the B5 hid system. I am asking $305 shipped. Thanks, Ross.

    After changing my bulbs to Vision plus a little over 6 months ago, the bulbs on both sides have burned out. I did not disable the daytime running lights, but im very disappointed in the performance.

    These are about 6-months old. Never used the H4 bulbs (high beam/fog combination). These run $50 and $35, respectively, from powerbulbs.com new. $55 shipped for both sets. Most B5s use this combination. Selling cause I picked up a set of Hella projector headlights. Thanks.

    I don't know how common this is, but I had the Phillips Vision Plus bulb in my B5.5 for about 6 months and now my passenger side wires and harness are all burned up and melted... I don't have my digi cam right now but the plastic holder was melted and wires were black and crisp about 1.5 inches...
