Need opinions from others using the Osram 65W H7 in the stock (Hella) projectors. When properly aimed, any issues from oncoming drivers flashing you due to glare with this combo? I'd tend to think the projectors control the light well enough that this isn't a real concern? I want more light...
Looking to replace my stock halogens with something a little better. I saw the Osrams on a number of VW forums but also saw the ZXE s while I was in AutoZone today. Anyone used either or both and have how were they for you compared to your stock bulbs. Thanks!
Just wondering if anyone is running Osram halogen 100 watt H7 bulbs in their headlights.
I have been playing around with some stock jetta and civic headlights and installed Osram halogen 9007 and H4/9003 100 watt bulbs.
Yes they are brighter and contradict what some people believe from reading...
I was over at the Candlepower site just now and saw the disappearing style turn signal bulbs on sale for $5.49. I think they're usually $16, so I figured maybe someone would be interested.
I've had them for only one night and havent driven on any really dark roads yet but so far they seem to be about 1/3rd brighter as advertized. They're rated at 2100 lumens as compared to the stock H7 at 1500. They're really just 65watt H9's on an H7 base.
One difference is that I could never...
One of my 4 month old silverstars just burned out. Pissed me off that a $20 bulb would go so quickly. Called them up and they are sending me not one, but two new ones. I do have to send in the old one for "analysis".
I think I have a connection for Euro spec Osram Silverstars as well as Narva brand bulbs. The Osrams are Plus 50 bulbs (55w) that meet stock spec in terms of current draw - so no worries about melting harnesses or other issues related to putting an overwatt bulb in.
I thought I would...
Are the Osram "All Season" H3 fog lamps listed on the powerbulbs website the same bulbs as the Osram "All Weather" fog bulbs referred to here? Or am I confusing them with the Philips "All Weather" bulbs?
Has anyone used these H7 bulbs in their B5s? They are 65w, and yes not legal. They were recommended because the low beam reflectors should prevent blinding other drives despite the higher wattage. or :thumbdown or
From powerbulbs.co.uk. Osram Superstars w/free Philips Blue Vision 5w wedge bulbs $47.88 w/free shipping. Is this a good deal?
Are the blue visions street legal? I have TX inspection due next month, don't want to fail and pay.
I recently bought Osram Silverstar bulbs for my high and low beams. I also got the Osram +30% all-weathers for my fogs. My question is since Osram does not make a silverstar w5w what matches well? I was thinking Phillips Blue vision.
Anyone know the answer to this?
Do the Osram (Euro) Silverstars last longer than the Sylvania (US Spec) Silverstars?
I ask because I lost my entire drivers side (Headlight and foglight) this morning. Both were Sylvania Silverstars. They don't seem to last all that long, but are brighter...
I am looking to buy a pair of Osram Silverstars and want to know what fitment i need for my headlamps?
If i want to upgrade headlight and sidelights what fitments do i need?
I thought it was H7 for headlight, but does the side light run off the same bulb or do i need a seperate one?
Went to powerbulbs.com, and apparently the Osrams received the Auto Express Best Buy for 2004. Is this truly the better of the two for every day driving ? I've been using the Philips bulbs for a few years, but am willing to try something else. Thanks in advance.
