I'm new to the world of turbos and I have a 2003 Passat. I Dont hear any noise in 1st or 2nd gear (stick shift) but I hear like a whining noise from 3rd - 5th gear. Its kind of high pitch but it doesn't last for when I get past 3k rpms. Does that sound like something a turbo should be doing?

im making a custom oil feed line for a stock ko3, the orignial line looks to be the same diameter as 4an stainless braided line, but the hole in all the fittings i see seem to be a hair smaller than the hose diameter, im not sure that would be a big problem or not, but i dont want to chance...
