Okay this is curious. I searched threads and saw where some have encountered door seal leaks where water ends up in the footwells. In my case the passenger side rear door of my '08 wagon holds water. I'd left it parked on a rainy day and when I came home from work I opened the door and a flood...

On the drivers side door I went to fix my door lock and as soon as I loosens the screw slightly and then pulled out the lock the entire screw and bracket fell. It snapped from the rest of housing. Any one know where to get this part ?

I have a question. I need to remove the bracket for my SMIC to fit in my AWIC unit. Now I see a what looks like 13mm bolt and a Torx bit. Is there anything else holding the bracket in place ? B5.5 Passat

It's that square metal spring/clip that goes around the base of the bulb. Does anyone have a temporary fix to secure the bulb in case I can't find the clip?

I need the piece that snaps into the door panel and holds the 4 window switches as well as child and door lock switches. I need it for a black interior for a b5.5 variant. Thanks so much, pm or aim or email. [email protected] -G

The tail light is held on by three small brass nuts and I dropped one inside the fender, forever gone. It's probably ok with 2 but I wouldn't want water to start getting in. Is this a part that would be carried by the dealer?

So I've tried all the searches and a few tricks of my own and I can't figure it out. I have the B5.5 01.5 5 speed manual. The shift knob is one that was held in place by the one time use clamp. The knob encompases the shift knob itself and then a plastic ring about 3/8" deep that is hooked to...

I have a 2002 vw passat with about 30k miles. The manual says that it should hold 5.7 quarts of engine oil, but everytime i change the oil and refill it, the engine oil dipstick forces me to put in over 6 quarts? Can someone shed some light. Thanks.

Thought I'd double-post this in the Garage Forum as well... I've run down a coolant leak and was hoping to get some help. On the AEB there is a metal coolant pipe that runs from the radiator, back over the top of the intake runners, curves down and then towards the passenger side (here it is...

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it. Who here has the Passat with the most miles on it? I wanna know how long these puppies really last. Also, tell us about the maintenance history, repair history, your oil brand(s), oil weight(s), and OCI.

http://www7.district125.k12.il.us/~dalcarls/crunch/ Yup, the wife and I were rear ended in Conn this past weekend while driving from Cape Cod to Staten Island (and I was sure I'd be hit in NY - go figure). We had stopped on I-95 for an accident, but the guy behind us in a Grand Cherokee...

Busted that strap that holds the tool kit and the jack in place The little plastic loop busted when I was trying to fasten down the toolkit. Is it just me or is it tough to get enough slack to tighten it down. Anyways, anybody replaced this? Part #?

Okay sometime back I bottomed out my car and tore my belly pan. I am getting a new belly pan from German Autoparts. From the looks of my old belly pan it looks like the pan is held by 9 bolts and nuts or is it just bolts? I see that there are 3 screws in the front (do they have nuts also?)...
