I always replace my rubber fuel hose as a preventive maintenance, it's kinda cheap part and for sure does involve a lot of risks in case of a failure.
This time, once I had to go a shop near the place that sells the hoses I went ahead and replaced mine earlier than usual, this time...
Question for the ones that have or had GoodYear LS2's. I know this could be in the Tire Forum, but this is specific for the B6. Mine is a 2010 2.0T. I had a front wheel alignment done, and I don't think my rear camber is off. After 20,000 miles my tires got really loud, real bad after 25k. After...

So I just bought this 05 GLS....prev owner (my neighbor) took great care of the car, and put these Assurance all weather tires on it. Well they sure do the "wah, wah, wah" thing pretty loud...I'm thinking this isnt normal? He said they always have to a certain extent...and he had the heavy spots...
Here's what i'm looking at getting:
Goodyear TripleTread $130/ea.
Continental ExtremeContact DWS $110/ea.
Michelin Energy MXV4 $147/ea.
They'll go on a V6 4mo wagon. does anyone have any recommendations? Please let me know which ones you have tried...
Sorry if this is a noobish question or a re-post. I don't know much about tires except how to install and balance them. The only tires that I have dealt with are Continental ContiProContact but they were a much wider thinner tire.
Basically, I'm in the market for a set of 195/65/R15 tires...
Just a Reminder up to a $50 rebate on select Goodyear tires until the end of the month.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
I have an '03 Passat GLX V6 5M - 95,000 miles.
The Goodyears ride fine and handle well enough for what I do, which is mostly highway driving. I don't race the car, nor try to push the car to the limit, yet I do have a spirited driving style as compared to most people I know.
I replaced my 205/55-16 Yokohama Avid 4VS tires recently with the Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge tire. The Yokos only gave me a dissappointing 20K miles. I can only report on about 1000 miles of use but these new Goodyears are a drop in performance level compared to the old Yokos. They are...
I was all set to go get some Nokian WRs this morning but then I saw the Nov '06 CR test results for performance winter tires yesterday. They only rated the WRs at #5 and gave top honors to the Goodyear Ultra Grip GW3. Both are H-rated and have essentially equal test ratings across the board but...
Goodyear Excellence OR equivalent and same price ranged Dunlops, Pirellis or Michelins??
- or maybe Falkens?- they are cheaper though.
I guess the American models are different than the European the American market:
GoodYear RSA's or the GoodYearEagle featuring ResponsEdge Technolog?
