2000 passat gls wagon. 2.8 V6 ATQ. cold weather option, manual trans, not AWD. all these wires are on the passengers side, or the left side looking INTO the engine bay.

It seems more like a wire sleeve than a hose (very flexible). It's the one marked "610", sitauted between the intake hose and firewall. Goes down further than I can trace without dismantling things.
Any ideas? Spare?
Sooo sorry but this car made me an idiot. I found this around the fuel lines buit it wasn't holding anything on nothing, it was just hanging there behind the engine (1998/AEB). Where's this supposed to go?
I got done with changing all my control arms, TREs and front & rear shocks yesterday. When trying to get the lower control arms out from the steering knuckle on the drivers side by knocking the hell out of it I had one of these pieces drop to the ground. I don't have any idea where it came...
