Hello, B5, 1.8T Is it too risky to clean the turbo oil lines for 250.000mil- 14 year old turbo passat? There are no symptoms of turbo going bad but just in case, preventative maintenance. Have a slight sludge problem though. Alex

I have a 99 1.8t AEB. I'm replacing the turbo due to failure. I think there's been work done on the oil feed line by the previous owner. He cut a section out and put a rubber hose on it. I don't know why. There's also a ton of sludgy oil where the fitting meets the engine. My questions is...

So I was in search of a new oil feed line as mine had a hole in the braided section. I wasn't really keen on buying a used one, or shelling out almost $200 for a new one. So, I made one from stuff I had in my garage. I also routed it in front of the engine instead of behind it (easier, and may...

I have a 98 AEB KO4 & was reading about a upgraded heat shield for turbo oil feed line? The line is bolted up correctly with the stock head...

I'm having a nightmare. Blown the turbo recently on my B5 1.9TDi. Got a new one on, cleaned everything out (intercooler and exhaust were full of oil, unsurprisingly!) and came to drive away, but spotted a small leak from the oil return pipe. Not a massive problem, I thought, but it seems I'm...
