  1. Parts For Sale
Bought this 4 years ago when VW dealer stripped out my oil pan, tried to use it and it did not work at all. Today I took apart all the PTC fittings and the valve and found it was completely blocked with grease and shredded plastic from them tapping the threads. Cleaned everything out...

I was all stoked to bleed my brakes today, and I've had a Motive Power Extractor for about 2 years for oil changes. So, I got my DOT4 and headed out to use my "motive thingy" to bleed the brakes. :wrench: Wrong thingy :banghead: I guess i could use the extractor to vacuum bleed, but i don't...

...or half gallon as I noticed while pouring it into a recycling container...what gives? I had run the engine to get the oil warm, given it plenty of time to cool then drop back to the pan, but then could only grab 2 qts worth by the extractor (with known acknowledgment that the oil...

I'm thinking about buying the Motive oil extractor (I can bleed brakes with it also). Are there any comparable products I should consider first? Any paricular vendor? I'm thinking about just ordering it from ECS.

I did my last oil change very successfully using my Pela 6000. But, as an extra step, I drove the rear of the car up on Rhino Ramps so that when the oil drained back into the oil pan it would all be towards the front of the engine. I did this thinking it would make it easier to get all the oil...

Got a good deal on a Pela oil extractor at jerrybleach.com. The Pela 6000 was on sale for 38.99, + 6.88 for shipping for a total of 45.87.

I've had a search for a seal extractor set up on ebay for quite a while. Tonight I got an email that one was listed. Buy-it-now $49.99- woohoo!

i'm just curious if anyone has used an oil extractor for changing their oil? i'm thinking about getting one to change my own oil because i dont have a garage with a floor jack to get under the car and do it myself, just wondering if anyone has used it? and does it even work on a V6?

My searching seems to indicate that most people around here that own a power fluid tool own a pressure bleeder like the Motive brake bleeder. It also seems that a growing number of people own suction extractors too, such as the various Pela extractors and the newer Motive Power Extractor...

I have done some searching and just wanted to get a feel on what is the best quality/cost extractor out there. I am considering it because I am having to change my oil basically every other month. Is there any concern about the tube coming apart and getting lodged into the dipstick tube? My luck...

I took the advice of people here and bought an extractor. Even followed the link that was recommended to me- www.toolparadise.com and got the MityVac Fluid Evacuator Plus. So much easier! No mess at all. Took a bit over four quarts out... TDI engine naked! The oil filter is just above...

I've heard (and verified) that the dipstick tube is obstructed in the V6. Can an oil extractor still work, maybe through the main oil opening? I know that with the V6 the car still needs to be jacked up to get at the filter, but the Mann filters I'm using should be good for two oil changes...

Does anyone here use a Pela 6000 Oil Extractor or any oil extractor? Do they actually remove all the oil. Is this a SAFE and alternative to remove the pain in the ass bottom cover/ putting rams under tires, getting on your back etc?

I originally purchased the Griot's Garage Oil Extractor 10122 about two years ago. About 6 months ago, it stopped working, and Griot's graciously sent me a new one. Now, tonight, the pump failed with about two quarts extracted, and I am finished with this product. I have been looking at the...
