Besides soaking the offending parts in Kroil for a week, are there any "magic" ways of loosening the triple square headed adjusters (rear camber)?. If not, and I have to cut or grind them out, where can I get a new set (both sides) of the camber eccentrics, bolts and nuts other than the dealer...

Hey all, I've owned my '12 B7 3.6 SE for a couple years and have replaced almost every bulb with high quality replacements from deAutoKey. The conversion has been a long and quite expensive one, however the outcome is nothing short of head-turning. My very last struggle seems to be the most...

Hi PW'ers, I'm hoping to be able to count on your input once more. Thus far you guys have managed to provide entertainment for countless weekends yet saved us lots of $ at the garage. And at the same time, I feel we (my wife and I work on the car together) know and have learned a lot about the...

Hello everyone, I joined hoping to find "real" information on the airbag recall. I have a 2013 Passat SEL, had issues with the drivers door lock actuator, no big deal... more of a P.I.A. Then the stereo/nav system would just power off by itself (including MMI portion). Had to fight with the...

I have a 2001.5 Passat (B5.5) with over 190k miles. Over the last 3 years or so (maybe more), there has been some play in my steering wheel. Right at the midpoint, there will be some play. When I turn the wheel to 9 o'clock or 3 o'clock, the wheel will "catch" and there will be a clicking or...

I have removed the entire carpet from my 2000 wagon 4 motion. I plan to post detailed instructions for those that need them (I'm sure its been done here but I plan to drive the car with the passenger seat only in the car and conduct some tests to determine where water is entering the cab/...

Has anyone else here had issues with clutching their B5.5 and developing Sciatica? They say that the car, (mainly the drivers seat is to blame), that the car is low to the ground, along with the fact the car is a manual, now I don't want to think this is the case but I also know I'm not small...

Saturday morning, my partner and I got into our Passat (2002 1.8T Wagon) to run errands. Car starts, then dies, repeatedly. Hello all, I did front shock absorber replacement. Brand new Sachs shocks. But, the ride is very rough now, worse than before. I can feel every contour on the road. Very uncomfortable. I replaced the crank Shaft seal twice because oil had been leaking from the bottom of the engine block. It slowed the leaking a lot, but it still had been. I went out to my car this morning and oil was all over the ground. Any suggestions on what might cause this??? Thanks
