Greetings. Hopefully this should be a quick and easy one for all of you with miles traveled under the hood of the 2.0t Passat. Without further ado, there is a plastic duct, about four to six inches long, formed in an elbow shape, that connects to the MAF sensor on one side and a rubber intake...

I recently bought a 2006 Volkswagen Passat T2.0 (which didn't come with an owners manual) and after about 1,500 miles of driving it I popped the hood and found that a part of the air intake (a hard plastic duct) had broken off from the front grille housing. I was wondering if anyone knew what...

Is it too difficult to remove the vent grilles from the dash to access loose items inside the ducting? I believe PO's youngster made some "deposits" to the vents, and whatever's in there is driving me a little nuts! It sounds like something flat sliding several inches each way when turning...

I was just reading up and spotted this on an A3 forum somewhere. The person covers 2/3 of the MAF to test if it's faulty then goes for a drive. Only way I could think this is testing is there is a smaller surface area so less air to intake so it would match the air the "faulty" maf is looking...

I'm new to the site and have a question for those in colder climates with a 2.8 V6. Is it common to have warm air come out of the intake air duct once you park? I only noticed it since the temp dropped below freezing and I thought from the look of it, I had a coolant leak since I noticed steam...

I took possession of a 2000 Passat with tinted windows. The passenger window regulator is broken, and the PO used duct tape to keep the window up. Hence, duct tape on the tinted windows on the inside. Any ideas how to remove it without affecting the tint? Thanx! Z

Anybody can tell me how to take down the intake air duct (the section from air filter box to front grill) for my V6 2.8 motor? It looks like that the section consists of 2 or 3 black plastic fittings. Shall I just pull them apart, or are there any hidden catches or fasteners that I have to...

I have an intermittent problem with my Climatronic system. A/C will cut out compressor off, turn recirculation on compressor will turn on. Usually a problem when very hot out. Had local garage run diagnostics the following was the results. Where is the Fresh air intake duct sensor located...

The Climatronic system on my Sedan hasn't been cooling correctly, so I did a Vag-Com scan, and discovered a fault in the G89 sensor circuit. 1 Fault Found: 00787 - Temperature Sensor in Fresh Air intake duct (G89) 30-10 - Open or Short to B+ - Intermittent Bentley says it is behind the...

I've already read the instructions posted by Rich P. about removing headlight bulbs. It appears easy enough to get this air duct out, but mine just won't budge. Maybe I'm not pulling hard enough. Do I need to remove the screw at the left that fastens into the fender? I would assume not. In...
