Just doing my intro, as I joined today. Have a 2006 Passat Turbo 2.0T that just might need some minor things fixed. We live in a small town with the nearest VW shop an hour away. The coin trays in the dash are stuck, and I need to figure out how to "unstuck them". Thanks. Glad to be in the loop.

Just purchased a new 2016 Passat S a couple weeks ago and there is, what I believe to be, a coin rolling around in the front drivers side defrost vent. Any idea if the vent can come out and/or how to get the coin out??

Is this some kind of twisted german humor trying to point out that you should save your spare change...

I was cleaning the ol' B5 today and just noticed the small "check engine" symbol that was at the back corner of the rubber coin tray in the center consol (next to the e-brake). I looked under it and there was a small slot that went down about 1 1/2" and was curious about what it was. Any info...

Hi All! I'm new to Club B5, but have been browsing for advice. I found a coin holder that will fit in the ashtray. The coin holder is just a little narrower than the tray slot, so you'll need some styrofoam (can be bought at any arts & crafts store). Anyway, I found it at an "AutoBarn" store...

In browsing this site I saw someone have a coin tray in place of their cigarette tray  I can't find the post when I do a search... Anyone know where I can buy one of those or have an alternative for storing change in the car? Thanks! (I'm on a roll today... 2nd post!)

Don't ask how, but my wife dropped a coin in the steering wheel thru a crack between the main housing and the cover that has the horn and airbag stamp. Can I take that main cover off myself? Will it jack up the airbag? I can hear it jingle around in there when I turn the wheel... sucks...
