    lol @ ignorant American :) Ok, so Doyle is the English spelling / pronunciation of Irish name. The Irish would be O'Duill or older Dubh Gheall. The older name means Dark foreigner, and was the name given to the slight darker Vikings who came to Ireland. So you have a little Viking blood ;-)
    Anyway Doyle is quite a common name in Ireland, more so on East coast where large viking settlements were, e.g Dublin.
