    Broken Breather Tube

What would cause this tube to keep breaking? I have replaced three times. Does anyone make a metal version of this (06A103213F)?

I do have original VW used in good condition with metal sleeve. Let me know if you need it.

Do those sleeves go all the way through end to end? Mine are breaking right above the metal where the clip holds it into the engine.

That is unfortunately a normal breakage point and no, they don't make a solid metal one nor one that has a metal sleeve end to end. Is everything connected to it secured like it was factory installed? There could be something connected to it that is putting constant pressure on it at a certain angle...

Could always upfit the thing with an 034 Motorsport PCV kit.
Can't break plastic parts, if it doesn't have plastic parts anymore.....

I will assume that you have a 1.8t year 2001-
Check the long metal tube that travels from the rubber TEE and goes up to the valve cover and is bolted to the rear of the cyl head. If it is putting a strain on that tube that might cause your breakage problem.
You can test the next one by not clamping down on the rubber TEE to see if something comes off. BTW does the rubber TEE attach to the breather tube straight and easy?

    Good Luck!

When I replaced mine, I had to take off a retaining clip (basically shaped like a U) off before I could remove breather. I assume you replaced the retaining clip in the proper place when you installed the new part?
