    Sirs

Because i was a little bit bored today , i decided to please you with some new pics

    Now with Jap specs strip

    and painted door/rear bumper strip:

There is a special add-on missing, which is on its way, sent by my special "Canadian Connection"

Found somebody who traded my 4spoke leather for his 3spoke one

The intention was, to get a 3spoke Airbag .........

Lately, i went to the junkyard to test sth out.
I bought those two coloured ledges on the roof´s top, removed the paint at a spot and was happy .
Then i sanded the ledges with various granulation, and polished them.

    Tadaaaaaa:

Sadly, the alloy is raw and needs some TLC (If you want to be pretty, you have to suffer ). Also i think that the ledges must be swapped back during the winter, because the salt will corrode them.

    Your opinions?

Try clear coating the roof rails... polish them up really nice and throw some clear on them, that should work!

    Nope
Sadly, the clearcoat won´t stick on the polished alloy

Michael, looks fantastic. Maybe talk to a body shop about coating the roof rails... or possibly talk about getting them nickel plated. Once the prep work is done, it's really about dumping them in various baths until the correct amount of plating is on.

Couldn't be that expensive (or could it?)... worth investigating.

    Sirs

    My expected delivery has arrived

Nothing spectacular for the NA or CDN folks, but because those badges aren´t availiable here in Germany, they have "ultra-rare" status

Thanks John, for your efforts in this case (and the other one too, of course )

As some of you know , i retrofitted my OEM lightswitch with foglight position, when my foglights were installed, After this, the switch was pimped up with an aluminium ring:

Because i loved the look of the CC switch,i bought one. This switch has another plug (sadly), so it´s not compatible without massive electronic changes an fabricating a circuit board
So this switch was sold, because it couldn´t be modified.

Now i found out something new

    Light-switch of the new Polo 6 :

Because i wanted to have my retrofitted alloy-ring on this switch too, i changed the outer ring:

    Installed:

    Fits 1:1
    ETKA No.: 6R0 941 531 G 51,89€

Because the guy on this keyboard is nuts , he wasn´t satisfied with the look of his engine bay. Something was missing. Hmmmmm.........

    Ah, i know ........
Went to the VAG dealer and ordered something......

Preliminary action on a left over part:

Built together and casted with polyester resin:

    Don´t forget the ventilation:

    Installed:

Actually i wanted to use the original R8 servo-tank cap, but sadly it´s not availiable seperate. Only in combinatin with the servo-tank. This combo runs for 68€ .
OK i´m crazy, but this was something i wouldn´t spent. So i made the oil-cap compromise.

    Now something more:

    I installed the Audi S4 subframe-brace.
Sadly i made no pics, but there is a link existing to a thread on the Dutch Passat Forum which was created from our PW member dutch-mountains.

    http://www.vwpassat.nl/viewtopic.php?f=130&t=22286

    Part numbers are listed there.
Sadly this mod isn´t working on AT´s

As far as i´m concerned, i would say that my baby is a little bit stiffer now, but this might be subjective

    What do you think??

    Very old style:

    Until Friday:

The reason i traded my 4spoke for a 3spoke was to get the Airbag for this

It was an ebay found for 205€, instead of 360€
Now i only have to get a new fitting band for my radio RC (The new steering wheel is thicker, so the band is too short now)

Congratz on the .:R32 steering wheel, I've got one too and love it!

I've got a stick on mod for the airbag but haven't put it on yet. It's gonna take some time before I put it on. You'll have to wait and see what it is Captain.

No, we use salt here. It´s reduced on a low level and replaced by grit, but still used. It´s moisted for better efficence
Little add-ons aren´t winning a cup, but make the difference .
Mods on "family-cars" aren´t noticed by the vicinity , but by insiders

    @mrgreek2002
Actually i wanted one from the MK5, but i´d been too lazy, and the price of the MK4 steering wheel was too seductive
    Curious about your bag-mod

Very nice mods you did to your car. I like the Polo switch.

Where did you get the front foglights? Looks pretty good.

The air bag mod is still in possession of my friend, I might get it during the week-end, if I do, I'll put it on ASAP and take a picture.

I ordered a new mod that's coming outta Bulgaria (right above my country). It's custom made and being made right now, so by the time they make it and then ship it out to Canada, it's going to take a while. It's something you have not done yet Captain, I'll post up a pic when I finally get it and then tell you where I got it. I'm keeping it a little secret too right now.
