Hello everyone, i hope you are all well.
I recently bought a 1998 passat 1.8 se 20v that i have been sorting out. ( locks not working etc etc!) I had many flatspots when accelerating so have researched the problem and decided to take the throttle body off to clean it. Took 30mins just to clean it. Ruddy filthy!! The question i have is when you look at the engine bay from the front of the car, there is a hard plastic angled tube approx 6" long that the LHS of the TB fixes to. On the bottom rear of this angled tube there is what i think is a coolant T pipe that looks like a nightmare to get to. This pipe has perished but seeing as i know very little about cars, i was hoping that maybe someone on here could help. Many thanks in advance guys!!!
