    O2 Sensor Differences?

    Hey guys

Need to change my pre-cat O2 sensor.

I think I might be able to get a post-cat sensor for cheap...so what's the difference between the two? Is it just the wire lengths? Looking on ECS, it seems the post-cat sensor's wire is a lot shorter? I thought it would have been the longer one?

Am I right in saying that if I buy the rear sensor, I can splice it into the wiring for the front sensor and have it work like new again? Basically just like installing a universal sensor?

Part # that I can get is: 06C-906-265.

It says that the sensor is for all engines except AEB and has been superseded by a new sensor...so what's the difference? Can I still use this sensor on an AEB? I thought all the sensors were the same?

    Thanks,
    Elliott

Don't know for sure but autohausaz lists the same Bosch universal 4-wire heated sensors for both front and rear-so maybe your's will work OK.
