    60k mile service?

Hey about how much would a dealer 60k miles service cost for a 2003 Passat GLX? Also, any clue how much installation of a Euro tag is?

No idea about the 60k service on a GLX, but the Euro plate can be had on ebay or just google for it.

You need to find yourself an independent VW/Audi mechanic near you

Major maintenance is at 40K intervals, so 60K should be cheap; oil, inspection, maybe a filter or something. No idea about the euro plate.

Well, there's this thing we recommend you change at 60k, I did too....Gee what is that again....

Oh yeah, a new Timing Belt. Needs to be done at 60k, not 105k. Have fun lol

Here is the factory maintenance schedule for 2003 Passats:

I agree the timing belt should definitely be changed earlier than the recommended 105K miles. I did mine at ~60k.

If the timing belt has never been changed, then yes you should do it but not because of the mileage in your case. That belt is now 8 years old and is probably getting brittle. Other than that, it should be an oil change, cabin filter, and brake fluid flush if not done in past 2 years.
