So Many 5W-40 VW 502 00 Oils to Choose From

When I visited RT-Mart (a super store like WalMart in US) in Taipei,Taiwan, these are the 5W-40 oils with VW 502 00/505 00 specs on the shelf:

These are 0W-40 oils with VW 502 00/505 00 specs:

I even saw Honda and Toyota oils:

I am very interested in German Aral Super Tronic 0W-40 oil, which also meets VW 503 01, due to its unique piston-like bottle. I’d try it on my Passat if it were available in US. And the same to Honda Genuine HG 5W-30 oil, which is not available in US Honda dealers, on my Honda CR-V.

Hmm, I wonder how the M1 5W-40 that's sold in Taiwan is different from the one sold here.

You might notice that Mobil 1 5-40 oils sold in Europe meet Spec 502 while those sold here don't .

Mobil 1 5W-40 with SuperSyn is made in the France by ESSO Societe Anonyme Francaise.
Mobil Synt S 5W-40 fully synthetic oil is made in the EU.
Mobil 1 0W-40 is the same as in US with quart bottle instead of liter bottle like the other two Mobil’s.
