    Exploded diagram of Engine 1.8T

I have recently posted a thread about my car sounding like crap, i have been advised it might be the CCT cam chain tensioner, i wanted to know if anyone had a diagram of where this is located so i have a general idea of what im looking for.

    Help is much appreciated

No diagram but here's a pic of my AWM. Notice the installed tool for compressing the tensioner.

pop the valvecover off and it's really hard to miss.
it's the part applying tension to the cam chain

Ahh...me too...my cam tensioner is going bad....*possibly* due to sludge clogging the screen (?).

You have either an oil supply problem, caused by coke (sludge) or an oil demand problem, caused by leakage of the cam seals and/or CCA gasket.

actually, d-m's pics are from etos, which anyone can legally get. just go to http://www.etosinfo.com/

etka is a vw internal use program only.

p.s. the diagrams are also in the etka sticky.
