Not sure it's really a group buy... But checkout OEMPL.US on the web. That's where I ordered my hitch and I think that's where other's got there's. Leadtime on the hitch is more than a couple weeks so plan accordingly.

Holes are drilled into the plates ow all I need to do is have the steel rod bent, cut, and welded onto the plates.

FWIW - we (eurohitch.es) currently have two B5/B5.5 hitches in stock for FWD sedan or wagon models...

I just got my European Thule 972-3B bike rack for the swan neck tow ball from roofrackshop.com.

50£ for the rack = not bad dead, 50£*for shipping = bad deal but it was 2-3 days... I'll update you guys on how well it works.

You might get better luck on the tdiclub.com since this is a passatworld forum, however, look at oempl.us and eurohitch.es for a start.

Well have a look at the places above- they are your easiest option to get a euro hitch.

Alrighty then! I have photos of my European Thule 972 3-bike towball clamp on rack.

    gallery here: http://vwdavid.dyndns.org/~david/vw_...uro_bike_rack/

It worked very well and despite what you might think about the clamp on method it was very solid. For my own sanity I attached to shock cords from the bikes to the roof rack to minimize twisting moments while in motion. The rack didn't appear to budge the whole drive. I drove about 35 km with it on today. Some highway, main roads and back roads. I was concerned about the bumps but it behaved very well.

For the hassle free aspect of this, the fold down and the fold flat features, it was very much worth the 50£ price and the 50£ shipping. Very easy to use.
