Have you installed custom engine management programming? Tell us about it. Also, excuse my ignorance but what is "Profec B"?

Thanks.

Looks very nice. Clean up some of those lines, hoses, etc and you will have a factory looking twin turbo Passat V6 engine.

nice work to you

DANG!
I had no ideas I would get this many posts.
This is my wifes Passat with a stock AHA 30v 2.8L engine with tiptronic trans.
The engine remains totally stock. It took me a long time contemplate doing this
before I decided to actually pull the engine and start.

What really did it was.. The engine had lots of oil leaks and I wanted to fix them all
oil pan upper and lower was leaking, valve covers and cam adjusters were leaking too.
I needed to change the timing belt and waterpump too.
I dropped the engine and it all went from there.

I am working with someone and he is helping me tune the car with the factory ECU.
If I absolutely have to piggie back the ECU I will but...
PES does not so I am assuming I will not need to do so.
A Profec B is an electronic boost controller made by Greddy.
Installing a boost controller was a must in my situation. It allows me to control boost levels fairly well.

I will of course get dynos when I am complete with the car.
I am shooting for 300HP and assume I am about 260 right now. (seat of the pants)
compairing to a stock S4.

Good catch on the engine oil dipstick. I have an engine oil pan from an S4.
I now have 7qts of 0w40 in there allong with a waterpump from S4 to clear the new dipstick tube.

This was by no means a CHEAP modification to my Passat.
It would be definately cheaper to install a supercharger kit from PES.

I have custom made all the intake pipes and exhaust downpipes.
all the oil and coolant supply lines to the turbocharger were custom.
The brackets holding the ignition coil, cruse actuator, and throttle were custom too.
All the inlet pipes and intercooler are custom.

I still have stock suspension and I need to change it out
If you nail the gas it just spins the tires all the way thru first and a good scruff in second.
The back SQUATS and front LIFTS UP! LOL
Torque steer is real noticable.
changing suspension will help with all that

gotta run

That's next when the programming is finished.
I am going to remake the pressure pipe that runs next to the
coolant bottle. That's why it is not chrome plated yet.
I have ordered some real nice new hoses for the car.
Later

You better put some money into some suspension work(Rims Tires, Springs, Shock) so you dont kill your self!

Be careful, but have fun!!!
