Welcome to KC and . You'll now get to enjoy all the potholes the city has to offer. You've done some nice mods and have some awesome ones in the mail. Not many members in this area.

Default I have seen you...

Hi - Great looking car!

I too live in Brookside and have seen you several times on my way to work.

I just picked up my new 2004 GLS 5spd Thurs night.

I am very curious about your Brullen exhaust - quiet variety. I have always liked my previous exhaust upgrades but have always been disapointed in the sound level. I want it to flow freer but I want it to be as close to the stock sound level as possible - the best I have heard recently that describes what I want is the stock R32 exhaust - good grumble w/o being too overboard.

I would really like to hear your's sometime if possible.

Thanks all!
Finally signed a purchase agreement on a house. Should be moving down the road(still on 63rd ) to Prairie Village in October
Two-car attached garage in the winter
Flat driveway and no sidewalks means no shoveling required for the first time in my life

Glen, I like your wheels! Nothin' like 15 lb 17" wheels at a reasonable price. I'd put them on my car, but styling-wise I don't think I could get away with all-black, and the spoke pattern is too busy to use the silver version. But they look great on your car!

Good Work!

Thanks, it was the light weight and cheap price that attracted me to them. They have turned out to be very durable also. In 2 years, I have zero scratches or any problems with these wheels. Two of the tires(Yokohama ES100's) are about gone, which means I got about 20-25k out of them with agressive alignment specs.

I will get a set of more agressive tires next summer in my quest to be a track monster like you

Not sure about the Northland, but there are quite a few KCB5 lurkers on the board,
and a few more active enthusiasts.

Watch the Events page, I always post up any local VW-Audi events. I am still hoping to have some kind of KCB5 GTG, like an install day, or show and shine. Something relaxed and car-centered.

yeah...that would be pretty sweet....possibly somthing for july 4th-ish....mabey...i dont see may veedubbs out here....every time i see one im rubber-necking like crazy to get a peep....
anyway...summers coming fast...i bet theres lots of drivers out there just itchin to fill a parking lot with bunch of B5's & any other vdubs that want to link up with....

i see caravans of pt cruisers & mini coopers ..... but they dont hold a candle to a convoy of fine german engineering!

I do'nt know where Manhattan is, but there is a KCH2O GTG Saturday 04/02/05,
and a KC/STL GTG 4/30/05.

I've got a list of KC clubb5'ers, but usually do not get much af a response from mass PM's of future events. I still think we need a B5 only GTG.

Where do you have most of your work done, or are you a D/I/Y'er? So far I've been going to Baron VW, but am looking for some place other than the "stealership" to do mods and general maintenance. Thanks.

Baron has treated me well, but I have bounced around a few places. The hardest aprt is finding someone to work on a modded car. Currently I am using BHR on Holmes and 29th.

http://www.bobhindsonracinginc.com/

BTW, I saw your post in Bleser's thread, and I used Meineke at Metcalf and 75th for my Eibach springs/struts install.

Also, you do not have you PM feature turned on.

The Passat got side-swiped in midtown last month,
but I just got it back from Butler C&D (Kessler off Johnson DR and I35),
and they did an excellent job!!! They even repainted my skirts and
sprayed the rear bumper cover. The rear bumper cover now whines like
the rest of the car!!! Very Happy with it, pic's soon

Glen, Was driving down 63rd the other day and didn't see your car... but I saw a B5.5 Variant in a driveway and thought perhaps you had replaced the silver car. Did the hail total the car?

We got it too. Both out cars (my wife had just gotten a new Volvo 45 days before the hail). New hoods and trunk lid and massive non-paint removal and both cars are looking good. Thank god for insurance! Oh and we have to get a new roof for the house too.
