    Location of the MAF Mass Air Flow Sensor on 99 Passat

    Hello Guys

    I need some quick help , I want to find out where the MAF sensor is located on this 99 Passat, i have been trying to search online for hours for the specific location of this sensor on this model car, can anyone tell me where it is located and how to access this sensor by viewing this image i took and specifying its location?

    its in the airbox. the wires that go into that rubber gromet cover the connector. pull the grommet loose to see the conector.

    To gain access to the sensor itself, remove the cold air intake duct then remove the top half of the air box. To remove the air box top, you'll need to unplug a few connectors and disconnect some hoses. The one-time-use factory hose clamps need to be destroyed to be removed. Replace them with standard worm screw clamps from any auto parts store. There are four metal clips (one near each corner) securing the top of the air box to the bottom of the air box. The MAF tube is mounted inside the top of the air box with two screws. The sensor itself is mounted into the tube with two security screws.
