I traded in my B5 tonight. I bought a 2004 F-150 to replace my dying b5. It was hard to keep fixing all of my problems and the repair costs were crazy, so it was time to move on.
how much from chrome mirror caps shipped to 91356,sad to see you go but I mean come on euro trash to american trash. You didnt upgrade in the reliability area.
The F-150 is sooo much more comfortable to ride in. And as far as the gas bill goes, i drive 10 minutes to to work and 15 minutes to school, gas is not an issue for me.
Sorry to see you go, but congrats on the new ride! If you are happy with it and it's the right vehicle for you, at the end of the day, that's what is right.
Don't be afraid to poke around here once and awhile - even if you don't own a passat anymore!
Sounds like what I did a few years back. I had a nice '00 Jetta VR6 and for some crazy reason, I decided to trade it in for a Nissan Frontier. It was a nice truck and all, but about 5 months ago, I got that VW itch again. I could not resist. I sold the Frontier and bought me a Passat. Now I'm loving every minute of it. The only thing I miss is being able to drive when I go camping, but I'll get over it.
I had my Passat for a year and a half, and it was in the shop 8 times for repairs.... timing belt, control arms, tie rods, coolant leak, power steering leak, broken window regulators.... the list goes on. I liked my Passat a lot, but I couldnt handle the repairs anymore.
you know i always bounced from car to truck to car to truck......then i got my vw and now im on my second one.......i always liked the trucks...but i loved driving cars......so i compromised this time with my b5 wagon....all the cargo i need and the fun of driving a car.......but i still wish i owned my 88 bronco 2 xlt.....with the full brush gaurd and bumper package....that was an amazingly fun car.....

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Domestic is one thing, but a Ford? Sounds like you are going to have the same problems as with the B5 considering you now own a Fixed Often Rarely Driven!
O.K. enough with the Ford bashing! As you can see from my screen name I sell VW's. I also sold Ford's for 3 years and have owned nine of them. I currently own a 99 Passat. I can tell you without a doubt that Ford's do not get the credit they deserve, they build a great product. Granted they have had a bad model here and there, but what manufacturer has not? I am both a Ford and VW loyalist, I just don't like to see either of them get bashed. By the way my B5 is still running great at 140,000 miles!
