Engine Mount Help - V6 vs. 1.8T

So I want to replace my 1.8T side motor mounts with the stiffer V6 ones, and I'd appreciate some guidance on correct part numbers.

ETKA shows same part left and right for the V6 - 8D0 199 379K
with "cap for bonded rubber mounting" 8D0 199 469A on both sides.

There are different part numbers left and right for the 1.8T:
lt - 8D0 199 379J
rt - 8D0 199 382L
with the same "cap for bonded rubber mounting" 8D0 199 469A on right side only.

Will the V6 part number work on both sides? Anyone know why the 1.8T has different part numbers on each side? And does the "cap" need to be replaced, or can it be re-used?

Thanks - Rusty

Rusty, I ran into the same issue when I ordered new mounts for my 1.8T. I went ahead and ordered the basic 1.8 mounts and found that the 2 mounts were different where the bolts were bonded to the mount itself. I didnt really think about it at the time of which mount went on what side, and I feel no difference with the side of what goes on what side. The V6 mounts have the same mounting as the 1.8t mounts so there shouldnt be any issue with using them.

Just did mine on Saturday. The V6 mounts fit exactly where the 4 cylinder ones go. Both sides are same thing with the v6 model. They should come with gray shrouds over the tops. The older 4 cylinder ones only had one gray shroud around the turbo side to protect from heat. Get out your tools to get the passanger side mount off and on! :)
