i saw a while ago ( i think i saw anyway) basicly a splash guard for the rotors of the breaking system keeping them dry in heavy rains so you dont have decreased preformance in the rain
its called some kind of shield. either a dust shield or a water shield. some people have just used W8 shields because they are bigger for the larger rotors. and IIRC they are just bolt-on. i think some people fabricated some, but basucally, its just a metal plate that gets put behind the rotor to block some water/rain/debris from getting at the rotor
Thats right. Some people that have the early 98-99 cars have the smaller "dust shields" and hae upgraded to the 2000+ shields. Now, the W8 ones would be even better. Its a dealer part, and they can be had for a pretty reasonable price Im sure.
