I spent a lot of time on my intake plumbing today, and finally put together why the vacuum hose sticker diagram is perforated into little diamonds:
When it gets ingested, it'll be ingested in smallish pieces? Instead of going in whole and blocking up the intake screen entirely?
I found a few bits of the diagram in my intake screen, and I'm staring at the diagram, thinking, why is this sticker located right by the air intake as if it is intended to go IN to the engine? Why is it a sticker instead of a metal plate or something? And why is it perforated?
Mighty funny engineers who decide to put a sticker by the air intake, and then perforate it so that the whole thing won't go at once. Funny they didn't think to put the sticker some place else!
