Its a beauty. I don't dig the round headlight and the gray grill area but its nice. I like it.

I think they will change it a bit before it comes out. No 19" and drop and I really think the gray and the headlight will go to!

But here it is guys the wait is over!

Nice if that's it.

Curious that VW is dumping the four link front suspension for a conventional strut. Those bad control arms must be costing them a bundle.

Also, I understand they're going to back to a tranverse engine. That's good too. Much easier to service.

Here's hoping they work on improving their reliability. Wouldn't it be nice if VWs were as reliable as Hondas. I guess we can only dream.

Also if you look at overall reliability in Passats, Accord and Camrys for 1999....Passats are the most reliable!

Am i the only person that feels if VW does this my next car will be an Audi or BMW....
I have heard about the transverse engine news.. Not happy about it, i dont think it will be an easier to service. My Jetta VR6 seem no easier then my current V6. And with this move they will be dumping the current 4 Motion setup of permanent AWD to only AWD when there is slippage…
but about them dumping the four link front suspension is new to me.. but i think it will be a BAD move in terms of how the car feels. I think they should make the car have a rear fully independent suspension on all there cars.. Make the ride better. Trust me, when they gave me a FWD V6 as a loner when my 4 Motion was in the shop, I could tell the difference.
If you actual think about it, its not reliable that we need.. its better support. If you want your car to drive like a Honda, then you will get the reliability of a Honda. BMW and MB have there share of problems, they just know how to deal with them.. VW/Audi does not.

BAH! It's just another photoshop. They just shoved in some cayenne projectors and a toureg grille onto the phaeton front of an A4.

Except that looks nothing like an A4....

I think it's looking pretty good, plus there's more goodness under the skin.
That might be pretty close to the final version....

the rear end trunk area is A4-ish, and the front is as ugly as ever...

the only visual improvement I see is the painted skirt all around and the turn signal side mirrors. The headlights are ugly, and so is that grill. They tried to be a bit different and "outstanding" with that grill, but its just not doing it for me.

I love it--it's beautiful. If it comes out looking like that, I'll definitely get one instead of an A4......in that same color too if they have it. :p

BTW...VW should produce the wheels that are on that Passat! I think they're badass; I'd definitely get a set tomorrow if I could!!

We probably will see some changes to the car in the picture but one thing we are most likely TO see is the gray area around the grill and down into the bumper. Audi is doing that exact thing only even more pronounced with their next generation A6; it's a thowback to the original front end look of Audis when they first came out..sort of retro or something.
