Squeaking noise while turning the wheel....

Ok, so when I turn the steering wheel to the left or to the right at a stand still I hear a squeaking noise, like some on is rubbing 2 pieces of styrofoam together. Please note, I haven't looked at ANYTHING on the front suspension yet. Just collecting ideas as to what could be making this noise.

I recently had all four wheels aligned at Firestone. The front toe was adjusted, and the rears were way out (toe and camber). 5000 miles ago I replaced the stock suspension with Bilstein struts and H&R Sport Springs.

This occurs in Drive and Reverse. I don;t think I've heard the CV joints clicking or anything like that-- just squeaking....

    Any suggestions would appreciated. TIA.

    Mike

Front control arm bushings are the culprit here. Usually it is the upper that make the noise. Your best bet is to have them all replaced though

Thanks, I was suspecting this as well. Do you think the new suspension has anything to do woth this? This is a recent problem, maybe last 200 miles.

    Recommendations for new bushings welcome~~!

    Thanks
    Eike

If you didn't adjust the control arms to the new ride height, that could be it. you might as well replace the whole arm, not just the bushing.

Why is that? Is the CA ruined now? It was not adjusted after it was lowered....
