    1.8T rear O2 sensor(How to replace?)

I get DTC P1114 and P1118, so I removed the plug to check for heat element resistance and it is infinite (open)
How do you take that sensor out? Do I have to remove the catalitic converter to get to it?

Try using a crowsfoot wrench attachment on your ratchet, if one
of those 02 sockets are too tight for clearance. I used a 7/8"
crowsfoot to do my pre-02 sensor. And when I was looking at the
rear-02 sensor, I thought the crowsfoot would work pretty good there
too. You'll have to use several extenions/swivels. A neat trick when
trying to contort your position, is to use tape on the swivel areas to
"form" to the shape/path your headed for.

BTW, I recently had to replace my pre-02 sensor. And recently
my MAF (P1128), which may have been related to my bad 02 sensor.

    Ditto on the crow's foot.

You can get an O2 sensor socket over it, but there is not enough room to attach a ratchet or combi wrench to turn it. Crow's foot does the job.

Thank's, finally got it out and it's running with a new generic Bosch.
The 7/8 crow's foot on a 3/8 ratchet was the first thing I tried but the sensor was on to tight.
Some how I got a Ford wrench in there to get it loose, it had more leverage.
the crow's foot worked well for installing the new sensor.
This was a hard job for what should be a simple task but I'm happy the job got done.
