Traded the passat in for a dodge ram HEMI. Then I traded the hemi for an eclipse, sold the eclipse and bought a street bike, then traded the bike in for a cadillac sts, crashed the cadillac and totalled it, then I bought a 350Z, then I traded that in for my new passat.

Hello,
I live in Houston, but my B5 is stuck in Dallas due to the broken timing belt. Park Cities VW estimated $5000 for fixing the valves and possibly a new head.
Can anyone recommend a cheapter alternative since I don't have a warranty?

Thanks.
Howard

Not sure about that one. What I would do is walk back to the tech area and ask one of the guys if they will fix it off the clock. I have yet to be turned down, and also got a lot of free stuff like that.

How'd ya get a Wett 1.2 bar? I thought they maxed out at 1.1

Does the software you have co-exist with something ELSE you've done?

She said it was for the exhaust aplplication. She said that I had only the 2nd one. I originally had the other chip but was upgraded for free when I got the exhaust.

Hey Jason, looking GOOD man!

Have you looked into tinting your tails? You almost are obligated since your truck is EVIL looking!

Check out mine on my profile...

www.jonstintedtails.com

Another suggestion, I removed the bumper on my '98 RAM SS/T and put a smooth pan in it's place, the same thing on yours would really complete the look.

PZ

And lobich- You better get a huge supercharger because Im looking into getting a 75 or 100 shot of nitrous :-P :-P

NO2 can be fun,but I expect you will run thru it very fast..How many bottles can that nice big trunk hold?

That must be a big 120 if you get 180 out of it. The headers are sweet, but why
go back to a single after all of that? Dual cats and exhaust will really open it up.

You would not need high flow cats if you had duals. You could pick up another
stocker for cheap and get high flow since it's twice the capacity.
I would think it's worth more than 10hp,unless you are counting on a high flow
to start with.

I have not posted in a while but I have gone through about 3 vehicles since then. I let my dad take over payments on the hemi and took his 96 eclipse. Since the car was paid off I saved up a little money and bought a 2001 GSX-R 750. I sold the car after about 2 months and I was stuck riding the bike. I finally traded the bike in for a 1999 cadillac seville sts with 30k. I had that for about 1 and 1/2 months then I had an accident and totalled the car. It took about 3 weeks but I finally found a car that I wanted, 2003 Nissan 350Z track edition with 6sp, leather, navigation, 18" forged rays, brembo upgrade, and 11k miles on the clock. Here are some pics

This is what the cadillac looked like after the wreck

Good news guys!! Im coming back to the passat world in the next month or two. The Z is nice, but its a little more than I would like to pay and there isnt really much room for improvement with the exception of forced induction which I dont feel like shelling out $6k for. I found a cheap 03 passat so expect to see me around here pretty soon.

lobich
12-15-2004, 10:14 PM
Say it isn't so! I liked that Z of yours...

Donkeypuncher
12-15-2004, 11:49 PM
Yeah I really love the car, but the passat payment with insurance will be half of the Z car payment by itself. The other main thing is insurance on the Z is the highest rate you can get at my insurance company. Carmax is willing to give me almost exactly price that I bought it from them, so Im not really losing out on the deal.

Now that Im making more money, with a cheap car payment I will be able to do all of the things I couldn't afford to do to my old passat. Half the fun of having a car is modding it and making a drastic change from stock. I am very much looking forward to it.

Sweet! What are you doing first?

Donkeypuncher
06-11-2005, 11:47 AM
First thing is going to be suspension and wheels if I can find some I like. I have my system ready to install but I want to get rid of my eclipse deck and get a new one. After that, probably chip, exhaust, bov, intake, snub mount. After all that probably a front mount and turbo upgrade.

Donkeypuncher

The thing I love the most about the car is, there are no front bumper holes for the license plate.
