i don't really know what people might be thinking of. HKS has been done and i would love one but does anyone else know of one that would be good? i have looked at turbo smart, turboXs, and greddy. as well as obviously HKS.

i've heard abit about the hybrid valve but the comments i've heard are that it doens't make much of a sound.. don't kow why? but its a good concept and someone should capitalize on it. if anyone can find some sound clips of it it'd be easier to make my own/your own decisions about the valve. anyone else got ideas.?

I have the HKS valve from Adrenaline..it costs more then some valves but its well worth it good sound, no codes, and the car has not had an issue with it. If you call Adrenaline and explain to them that you have seen Joe Kauffman (me) posting about the valve and you were wondering if you could start another GB they may do it....i told them after the 1st gb that people were scared to try it and wanted feedback first

I know I was one of the ones waiting to see if Joe's car blew up (again http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emhammer.gif j/k). The HKS is more or less a proven solution, but even with a group buy it's expensive. I'd like to see what kind of group buy price we could get on the Bailey (http://clubb5.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=23082) BOV. It's retail price is much cheaper and from what I've read Schmove hasn't had problems with it. NA6CE seemed to have a lone on these at some place called Roadster Performance for around $130.

sounds good.. all we need is a valve which opens and closes quickely and we should be fine with the 1.8t. i understand that the AMS kit is expensive and if the bailys sounds/works well, lets see about it... i can try to see if anyone here in canada has them and if they would do a group special.. maybe cheaper for you yanks... us canuks can't afford your stuff..

Has anybody seen the BOV's that TurboXS has? Looks like they have 3 different models for out car, ranging in price from $129 to $169. They also have mounting kits designed for Audi's/Passat with the 1.8t engine.
www.turboxs.com (http://www.turboxs.com) Click on "see what you have for my car" then Passat/Audi to get to the stuff.
I do now have anything from them, but i have friends who have their stuff on WRX's and they say it is of good quality.
Their prices are much more in my range http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif

Anyone know if we can still get the adrenaline HKS for $260?

I did some studying on this. The reason the HKS works without throwing CELs is because it is a pull-type valve as opposed to all the other push-type valves. A friend had the greddy and it threw codes. The hks sounds sweet and it works great. Pay more and save yourself the agony!
Follow my link for the HKS sound.
