He is right about the W7. They need too much power, a big box and they are twice as much. The box is HUGE http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthdown.gif I want to keep it fairly loud so I can blow out my ear drums but I want something light weight. The old JL W6s just can't handle the power I am giving them. I was going to go to the new W3v2 but the W6 has has been a kick ass sub and I like the way the new ones look.

Well the W6v2's came in Monday and well, they are nice. They look very much like the W7 but at about half the price. Once I drop these bad boys in it's all over. I won't have the best looking Passat but it will be the loudest. Let's see if I can do some damage. When I had 3 W6 12s in my Jetta I broke the locking mechanism for the trunk. They are trying to release me back to my unit with a profile instead of medically discharging me. The regs say they can't do that so I called the Inspector General but there was a snag there. The IG guy that talked to me knows my First Sergeant. He said to talk to my Top to see if it could get squared away. Well, technically my Top isn't in my chain of command but I am going to give it a shot because when he talked back when I first got into the program he was really cool to me. If that fails off to my Congressman or woman.

On a good note I found out that I get to sign up for the Active Duty MGIB. I have to kick out $1200 but I get paid over $800 a month for going to school for 36 months. That's over $28000. Cha ching baby.

Why weren't you eliggible for the MGIB before? Are you Guard or Reserve??

That sucks that they want to make you stay. You know why they're doing it though, right? The Army's retainability is WAY down as you know. Last I'd heard they had started stop-loss because it was so bad. On the plus side, if they make you stay you won't have to worry about deploying because of your profile.
