Were you, by chance, up in the Central CA Coast area in mid/late August?
I saw a B5 that looked a lot like yours with a roof rack.

awwh... I think this is like twice that you've spotted my car. I have yet to see yours. I know of several club members around the UCLA area.. but rarely run into each other. There used to be 2 guys living in the dorms that I always used to see parked in the garage. anyway.. i'll keep an eye out for you.... and waiting to see what those black euro bumpers will look like...

Ahhhh..... right by good ol' Californai Chicken Cafe. Some of the westside B5'ers had a informal get-together lunch there before. I'll be sure to peak over at the R.S. parking lot next time!

dude Manyee, I see you damn near every day on my way to work on Venice blvd. I'me either driving my passat or the dark purple corrado (like today). Good to see your passat still looks the same, unlike mine.

I likey the MAK wheels................are you using a center cap??

I cant tell by the pics.

I want to run my MAKs without the centercaps (plastic covers) but the center needs a small cap and none of the OE VW center caps seem to fit.

Manyee........... those cables don't scratch up your rims?

B5Boy
02-28-2006, 02:36 PM
My brother told me I had mail :)

kidvdub- Yes, my Sonics have wheel caps, they came with the small little chrome ones that you see in the photos when I bought them. I never got the "full plastic" ones that most MAK Sonic owners have. I've grown to like the exposed lugs.

b5-turbonium- LOL. I've checked out your Corrado on Venice Blvd before! I live right off Venice Blvd (Next to the Rally's), so that's probably why you see me so often! I jump on the 10 at Robertson. I'll be sure to wave next time!

randy- The cables do scuff the rims up a bit, but the scratches wax off very easily. They even scratched when I had my stock Adellaides. I try my best not to spin my tires in the snow.
