Time for new tires! Mine are starting to bald and I can feel them slip once in awhile! Which ones do you recommend betweent the two? Any other suggestions?

Personally, I like the Yokohama's. Have had good experiences from them

Check the treadwear of each. I have seen the Conti's come in at around the 140 range. Not very good. I believe the Yoko's to be in the 280 to 300 range. Both great performance and the Yoko would be quieter.

I dunno that i agree with the loud being the selling point of the Yokos i have them and i consider them a decently loud tire but the wet traction is awesome the dry traction is very good

ok...leaning towards Yokos...they are cheaper too which is a MAJOR plus. Thanks guys! I need a quiet tire for a change. I've been riding around on Pirelli P7000's and those are LOUD. What size should I get for my 18x8.5? 235/40/18? I have 225's right now and it kinda has the stretched look.

You can't compare that number from brand to brand. A 140 from brand x does not = 140 from brand y.

Chris why not the Dunlop SP9000's?? They are a quiet great handling tire that will last about 25-30k. The sumitomo's are also quiet and good handling but get about 20-25k i believe.

1- It's true, you can't really compare tread wear ratingsbetween different brands
2- The Conti Sport 2 has a 280 tread wear rating
3- We just got some 235/40ZR18 Conti 2 at $187 Each which is a great deal for that caliber of a tire :D
Let me know if you need a shipping quote, i just need your Zip

Max do you carry the Yoko's? I really am leaning towards those right now. My bro is also in the market for wheels for his GTI and he is in love with the Stilauto SR300. Do you have them in 17x7.5 and how much would shipping for four wheels and four tires be to 92606? Do you have any deals going on for the Stilauto wheels?
