Oh yeah, the leather is coming along nicely ... having some issues with bunching. Some is supposed to be like that ... others not. Its just very TIME consuming.

I hear ya. I don't think I'd have the patience to do that on my own. I'd rather just shell out the 150 for install. heheh but that's lazy ol' me. I love the color combo! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

Damn dude! 450$ for install?! If the thing with NUISANCE doesn't work out you can try Fabrizio at EF1 Motorsports in Long Beach. He is a great guy and real meticulous about his work.
His # is 562-422-8485 and he can align it for you too.

We got the nut off but the bolt didn't budge. Hit it with a rubber mallet, no go. I hit it with a hammer, no go. I used my breaker bar/torque wrench but I only was able to turn it about 1/2 a turn. The bar was reading over 150 ft/lbs. I then tried to use my pneumatic wrench but the thing didn't even turn. THEN some how I jacked the bolt so we I had to buy a tap/dye kit to rethread the bolt. I guess it is rusted in or something. I guess we could have cut the bolt into sections but if I still couldn't get it out then he would have been screwed. I could have also used a torch but that would have melted the bushings. We worked on it for like 3-4 hours with nothing to show for it. I am so pissed right now http://www.clubb5.com/images_forum/mad.gif , I told him I could do it but I couldn't. Damn it. Sorry I couldn't help you out Ivan http://www.clubb5.com/images_forum/frown.gif

I really owe the both of you a huge "thanks" for trying! I had the bolts ordered but they couldn't get them in until Monday, not Friday like I was told! That threw a wrench into our plans. Anyway, I'm going to give DSR a call on Monday, hand the car over to them with 2 new bolts and tell them to use "any means necessary" to get them off!!!
Anyway, thank you both Herman and Zach. You too are a perfect example of what being a part of Club B5 should be!

I am curios how they are going to do it. Get an estimate up front so they can't jack you once they find the little problem http://www.clubb5.com/images_forum/angel.gif I guess you could just cut em out or drill them too but I wouldn't give it a try.

I figured an air hammer would work. I have one in my garage too. I would have given it a shot but if I jacked it up it would be my ass. How long did it take them to get the friggen things out?

I got them as part of the leatherseats.com GB. The whole kit ran me 6 something. Keep an eye on the Katzkin GB, prices and offering are comparable to the GB I was in on. Just a note, I have the gathered look. Katzkin apparently is flat.

Sunnyvale VW is a good option for your scheduled service. Others have had good luck there and they are mod friendly (mostly, you have to know the right person to talk to).
For GIAC chips, look up DynoSpot Racing. They are the local dealer around here. Also there is New Dimensions, they carry the APR line.
My pics are down for now, I changed ISPs so they are all broken links. I'm on SBC Yahoo! DSL now but there is really no "usable" web space, unfortunately. I'll see what I can do about the pics.
And yes, I installed the leather kit on my own. Probably not a perfect job but I think it came out very well. Just took way longer than I expected but at least I could take it at my own pace. :)
