Hey Everyone!
I'm new here - just got my 2002 Passat and SO in love with it! I'll get pics soon, definintely need to get my new wheels first. Recently got rid of my lifted Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, sad to see it go, but glad to not have to climb into a vehicle anymore. Instead, I have something lowered ;)
Wish I could have made the Leavenworth drive! Next year for sure, but looking forward to Waterwerks.
BTW, I'm in Everett. Hopefully I'll be able to meet some local peeps!

Thanks guys - I've def. been using the search feature.
As far as plans? Not sure yet, other than new rims and tires and a badgeless grill. Still trying to decide what to do with the lower portion but I've read painting sucks...It's already lowered (not sure how low) and has HID's. I had nav put in a few days after buying it. It has exhaust on it too...a few things I need to get checked out though (Squeaking sound when I go over bumps on the driver front side, it drives me crazy)...

it's a sedan - that weird blue/greyish color. Seems like there are a lot of events up here, I'm stoked!

Right on. Same color as mine. Next month is waterwerks... July 17-18. Not too sure where, because I will be out on the ocean... Whether temporarily (1 month) or permanently (8-10 months) is still up for debate. The admirals In DC can't decide yet. And the weird color you're referring to is known as "anthracite pearl." Looking forward to seeing you around town.

Nope, reserving my spot for when I get back and fix up where i f'ed it up. I'd be happy to show you. Currently got some wheels, euroswitch, and 5000K HID's. Wheels - running 18x8.5 on 235's. They're heavy though. Yea, in the Navy on the Lincoln. Funny thing is, they still don't know when we're leaving. (admirals in WA DC)

I got mine from another guy locally (still owe him $ for them come to think of it) They're madrus milleniums. its like a 15 spoke wheel. It would compliment my car better if it was a gunmetal grey.

Might I recoment that you take a look in the show room.... and get a basic idea of what you are looking for..... or what your style may be,.... then go after that look..... there are many many diff set ups that look great on the B5/5.5 and if the wheels dont give you the stance you are looking for with the off set.... you may need to invest in some spacers to give you that poke you need..... anyhow hit up the showroom...and start picking some of those folks' brains as to what they are running that gives them that particular stance..... one last thing.... try and plan out your car vs doing it on the fly..... research things out ask questions and get it done right the first time if you can:salute:
and thank you for your service

Welcome to the club, I'll keep an eye out at waterwerks for it. Great choice on the blue anthracite for a color, same as my 02. How much is it lowered? I am going to second what Mic said, spend a lot of time in the showroom looking at pics, that is what i have done for hours and hours over the past years trying to decide what i like and don't like.
