The CC has had that in Europe for a while now, don't expect to see it in the US from what I have heard. Personally I still find it useless, not even a little kid would want a seat that tiny. Look at how close the seat belt buckles are.

my R32 had seats sort of like that, middle seat staggered above the two side ones, not so unconfortable. I have no use for the 5th seat, that is why I chose the CC over the R. The 4 doors was a + in confort itself, if I have more than 4 people we just take a different car.

The only reason I DIDN'T get a CC was the lack of the 3rd seat in the back.
Something to comtemplate when i dump the B6 this year if they decide to bring it to the states.

I want a CC really bad, but not being able to have an adult sit int he back witht he 2 kids is a deal breaker

I think it is good to have the option for those who want it. No reason to put off a potential customer for such a trivial thing.
No middle seat wasn't a factor for me. In the 9 years I had my B5, I used the center seat once, if that.

Well if you have a 3rd seat in the back the wife can argue that you should have a 3rd kid because now there is room in the car.
I don't even have a trunk that opens on my car and I've lived with it for the last 2 years.

^^^^Or my skinny-ass kids. My 15 and 1/2 year old son just finally topped 100 lbs.
The missing fifth seat was a deal breaker for me too. With 5 kids, I am often carting more than just 3 of them around. That the GTI cost 4k less, that didn't hurt either.

This is why I refused to buy an eight seat minivan. I already have 5 kids. If we had room in the car for one more.....
