California Car Duster

I just picked up a Cali Car Duster today because after waxing my car I realized how much dust really accumulates. Does anyone use one or have tips on how to use it?

I have used them for years and as stated above, the more you use them the better they get. I have had no problems with them and I use mine much more at this time of the year, damn pollen.

I just got one the end of last summer and used it a couple times with fairly good results until I brushed over part of the windshield and saw waxy/oily streaks on the glass and then realized it was all over the car. The cold weather came soon after and I stopped washing the car. But after reading the above link I'm going to try it again even though I think I was using it right and I did the whole airing out thing for even longer than they said. But I don't have the wood handle model the guy in the link suggests, I actually have the truck/SUV one, with a long plastic handle. In fact just minutes ago after reading the link I went out to the garage, got my Cali Duster, took it out of the bag and it's hanging next to me airing out. I'm going to re-try it after the next wash.

i keep 1 in the trunk and take it out for a quick dusting. it's nice.

I too have been using them for years and work great even on black cars. Just dust with it, don't press on it. Don't use it on the car if it's hot from being in the sun or it will leave little streaks of parrafin wax on the surface. Don't use on the windshield.

i put mine on some newspaper overnight and the paper had lines from the wax so its a good thing it didnt get on the car. thanks
