B6 vs. Acura RL

Besided about 10 grand, what is the difference? I hear alot about how high priced is the new B6, but I don't see much difference between the two.

I dont think they have announced pricing on it. The pricing on the new A4 isnt jumping a whole lot and I think raising the price on the Passat too much will result in a lot of people buying the A4 instead of a GLX or loaded GLS.

Just two observations. I think the B6 Passat will still be quite a bit larger than the A4, and the RL will be larger than the B6.

RL's all wheel drive, comes with Navi and his a Honda which means it's a hellavuh lot more reliable.

The xtra $10k may be worth it for less hassles and better resale. That car, the RL, is very, very bad ass.

So are we assuming the b6 wil cost $38k? That sounds a bit steep considering the glx v6 4 motions were selling for about $30k this year.

It might be more than the current 4motion, but it will have a bigger more powerful engine, bluetooth, nav, sat radio. And still $10 grand less than RL, with equal eguipment.

I think the comparison is bogus gentleman, the RL starts very close to $50K and a comparably equipped Passat should run about $35K, which is the price of a TL. With AWD, better legroom and trunk space than a TL, the B6 should appeal to a wide audience.

The RL is quite expensive. In would make mor sense "Audi A6 or Acura RL".

The acura is probable more reliable. I haven't driven it, but the engines they offer are quite good.

What I really like, at least from the pictures is the interior. It's very ver nice.

I don't think you can really compare the two cars. I would bew shocked that a lot of people are shopping the two vehicles. The Passat is an Acura/Accord/Camry competitor, the RL competes with cars such as the Lexus GS, Infiniti, BMW 5-series, Mercedes E Class.

This is probably a better comparison. The 05 TL has 270 HP and goes for $34,900 with Navi and auto.

By the way it is a 2.0t 200 hp and the v6 is 280 hp

I think as far as size and styling goes, the new Lexus GS is a better comparison.
