Welcome to CB5 World!
ClubB5 is great for all your Passat info.
There's local hookups down at VWVortex in the Australian forum: (http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1356374&postid=13719193#13719193)

You can get Oettinger parts from Muller&Muller (http://www.mullerandmuller.com) in Sydney.

Here's some info on posting pics: http://www.clubb5.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=78361

Welcome on board Vorn. Great to see another :b5: We need more Melburnites here.
The modding bug is defn. something thats hard to get out of your system. I've always wanted to leave it standard, but somehow it doesn't work!!!

Thanks for your all your help and tips ppl. very much appreciated. I was in doubt which direction to take in modding
/ ehancing my :b5: , but this site is a light in the dark. Thanks for the mullerandmuller lead Kos. Front end kit is on the way!

Got a couple of questions im sure u could all help me with.

1. Rear swaybars.....good or what? how much do they REALLY help handling/control?

2. V6 chips.....again, worth it or not?

3. Prob had this topic b4....r32 seats in a passat. tell me u dont want em. (liar)

I can only answer the first question. The rear sway bar is worth every dollar. I did each suspension mod separately. First was a set of Eibach springs - this got rid of the body roll, pitch and dive. A year later was a set of Eibach dampers - this reduced the body roll, pitch even more but helped control the spring oscillations that were starting to annoy me. A year or so later was a Neuspeed rear anti-roll bar - this transformed the way the car corners. If you hate the way the Passat understeers, this is the mod for you. I recently adjusted the bar to the stiffest setting and I haven't looked back.

I noticed you have a set of 16" Montreal's on your Passat and are planning to buy 18" BBS wheels. Are the Montreal's in good condition? If they are, I would be willing to buy them off you if the price was right. :D

My username is TUR-80 but it is pronounced "turbo". Think of a number plate and you'll get what I mean. Bummer about the alloys. :(

No probs - Paul is pretty good and their prices are reasonable.
There's also TCCA Motorsport (http://www.tccamotorsport.com.au) in Sydney that I've been happy with service/price.

1. Rear swaybars.....good or what? how much do they REALLY help handling/control?

2. V6 chips.....again, worth it or not?

3. Prob had this topic b4....r32 seats in a passat. tell me u dont want em. (liar)

1. Second Anthony's comments-worth every cent on the Passat, eliminates understeer makes it more neutral. You can either get the cheaper local Whiteline sway bar (http://www.whiteline.com.au)or the better featured/quality imported Neuspeed.

2. You'll get improvement but not the extent of the 1.8T engine.
I'd love to whack a supercharger on a V6 - that would be a better value mod than say R32 seats (probably cheaper too  )
Have a chat to Wal - I'm sure he can help with either of the above.

As for R32 seats ... well lets just say after the Procar at Sandown I wouldnt mind the whole R32 let alone the seats!
I'd hate to think what the seats would set you back if you can get your hands on them - most of the people that have replaced them in Passats have put in Sparco or similar.

Hey just a quick question,

The VW badge on my airbag has seen better days and I was wanting to replace it (not a big mod im guessing) with a new one or somthing else to fit.

calling in to VW im told that it can only bought with the airbag @ $300+ bucks wich makes for a pretty expensive badge!

does anyone know where to get a replacement badge? (origional or otherwise)

cheers all.

Hi Vorn,

Do you still want to sell the front spoiler only?
